I’m always on the lookout for new discoveries in the wonderful world of whisky. Still considering myself a humble apprentice, I try to evolve my taste and broaden my horizon in this very varied world.

  • Springbank, 10 years old
A very spicy scotch with a lot of flavour.
  • Springbank, 1997 vintage edition
A christmas present from my brother. Spicy as always, and a little bit peaty..

  • Glenmorangie Cellar 13, 10 years old
One of the first in my little collection, and still a favorite.
  • Glengoyne, 12 years old

  • Laphroaig, 10 years old
Currently my favorite. Deliciously peaty liquid smoke.
  • Ardbeg, 10 years old
A contender to the throne. Very peaty as well, and more powerfull in the expression.
  • Ardbeg 1996, 40%, Connoisseurs Choice
Bought at an Ardbeg tasting, this 14 year old Ardbeg can really hold it’s own. The moment you pour it, the room fills with the peaty scent. A thick, smooth flavor that lingers long after.
  • Lagavulin Double Matured, 1990 Distillers Edition
  • Bowmore, 12 years old
  • Caol Ila, 12 years old

  • The Glenlivet Nàdurra, 16 years old
  • Glendronach, 12 years old
  • Glenfarclas, 21 years old
  • Cragganmore, 12 years old
  • Balvenie, 12 years old, double matured
A christmas present from my girlfriends parents.. A very nice and mellow whisky. Almost like honny.

The Islands

  • Highland Park Special Bottling, 10 years old
A salty, powerfull cask-strength, 63,9%, whisky that really warms you up. It’s taste makes you instantly imagine the shores of the Orkney’s, and the salty water rising up to the casks..
  • Old Orkney “OO” A blend of Highland Park’s by Gordon & MacPhail.
The first blend in my collection. Very smooth and unintrusive
  • Murray McDavid, Highland Park, 15 years old
Special bottling for Kjær & Sommerfeldt in Denmark.
  • Isle of Jura – Superstition
Actually I found this way too sweet..
  • Talisker Double Matured, 1991 Distillers Edition, 14 years old
  • Highland Park, 18 years old

On the must-have list

  • Glendronach (..)
  • Highland Park, 25 year old (..) .. A truly exceptional whisky!
  • Springbank (..)
  • Lagavulin
  • Arran Port Finish (..)
  • Arran, 10 years old (..)

  1. Ole, Check out The Singleton from Dufftown. It was designed by the father of a girlfriend of mine from last century and is a nice smooth whisky.
